We got some pictures done of Amelie at 3 weeks, and I didn't love them. We used a $5 coupon, so we obviously didn't have many good choices. We also had a free family shot, so we decided to have a look through the poses of Amelie they did there and couldn't resist getting one of those, too. Here they are - 3 wks, 7 wks, and the whole, happy North family.

2008-2009

Jeff and I were sitting in the year's first fast and testimony meeting for our ward and heard many stories that day of trials and difficult situations throughout the year. We both looked at each other and said "sounds like we're the only ones that had an awesome year." And it's true! 2008 was exceptionally wonderful to us, and here are just a few of the reasons why:
We bought a home (just in time!), we bought a car, Jeff got an amazing job with SLCPD, I graduated with a Master's Degree in Recreation Therapy, I got to quit working, we took trips to Florida and Denver, we celebrated our first anniversary and, most amazing, our beautiful Amelie joined our family.
Of course we've had a difficult day here and there, but we truly feel we couldn't be more blessed, especially in times like these. We're grateful for an awesome year, and here's to another great one!

As for the festivities, we hung out at my parent's house with my uncle and his family while they were in town. We went to Chuck-a-rama, then played games, ate SO much food, made a mess and had a good time. Here's the only picture we really have from the night.

Blessing

We blessed Amelie on December 7th-we had so many people come to support! Our sacrament meeting was packed, then everyone went to our house afterward for food. I can not exaggerate how full my house was! You literally couldn't move, there were so many people. We're blessed to be so loved and supported. Plus, we didn't run out of food-that was important. :) Jeff gave a beautiful blessing and Amelie was good during it all.
